One unsuspecting day in October, we invited our parents, Bryan's grandma, and my brother to come to a "Fall Party" at our home. It just so happened to coincide directly with when we would be finding out the gender of our little one! I couldn't let the surprise factor go to waste so this post will highlight our "Fall Party" turned SURPRISE "Gender Reveal Party".

Having a birthday in October has meant that birthday's past have been full of seasonal fun – from Halloween themed parties, Oktoberfests, Renaissance Festivals, and oh yea... those have all included celebratory seasonal pumpkin beer! This year, with the new little addition on the way, I had to find a way to celebrate that was a little more low key.

On Sunday, July 12, Bryan and I found out that we are going to be parents! After a few moments of sheer panic, the excitement and joy kicked in. Mommy and Daddy. It's one thing to have our little furbaby, Rooney – but a REAL human baby!? Oh boy, we are in for the time of our lives!
