Little Man

Choo Choo – all aboard the Conor express!

I cannot believe Conor is already 7 weeks old! The time is flying by and we are loving this new life with our little man.

This past month has been BUSY! In between bottles, naps, and diapers, Bryan and I have officially set up Conor’s nursery. We decided to do a train theme to celebrate our town’s history. We live a few miles from the C&O Canal and train tracks and the town itself is known for being the “Home of the Railroaders”. In addition to setting up the nursery, I decided I would take Conor’s newborn photos myself! With Lucy’s newborn shoot, we used the incredible Annette of  Stadkind Photography, but this time around I wanted to take on the challenge myself (but we SO look forward to having her take family photos of us this spring).

I used Conor’s train nursery theme as inspiration for his shoot. Below you will see his nursery, lifestyle photos, and some up close and personal portraits of our little man!

Photo overload! I just cannot get enough of him ❤ I hope you enjoyed these photos. A huge thank you to my brother for taking the photos with me in them.

As to keep up with tradition – our photo wall in the morning room has been updated as well! I love seeing our family photo wall finally complete.

We have FINALLY completed Lucy’s nursery! What started as a very blue bedroom has now been transformed into Lucy’s gray, white, and pink bunny themed bedroom. Bryan made his striped accent wall vision come to life and we had brand new carpet installed throughout the house to give the room a much needed update. Please take a scroll through Lucy’s hippity hoppity nursery <3.

Oh yea, Rooney wanted to let you know that HE helped too!

We’re having a baby, my baby and me…

On Sunday, July 12, Bryan and I found out that we are going to be parents!

After a few moments of sheer panic, the excitement and joy kicked in. Mommy and Daddy. It’s one thing to have our little furbaby, Rooney – but a REAL human baby!? Oh boy, we are in for the time of our lives!

As the great Ricky Ricardo sang to his wife Lucy in this classic tear-jerker scene, “We’re having a baby, my baby and me!”

My blog title, ittybittywhitty, suddenly takes on a new meaning for me. This ittybitty miracle is growing day by day. At our first appointment, seeing and hearing babies heartbeat absolutely made the reality sink in. Here is a picture of our first glimpse at the ittybittywhitty to be:

*Side note (sorry Bryan): Before we were able to actually see the little jellybean baby, Bryan thought the whole black area was the baby and started getting teary-eyed before even seeing the actual baby. Love <3.

After out first appointment we shared the news with our parents and immediate family. The amount of love and support from all of them was overwhelming and beautiful. Baby is going to be one very LOVED grand-baby and niece or nephew, and that couldn’t make me any happier. To commemorate the beginning stages of my ever growing bump, here is a picture of me back at my 9 week mark:

In the weeks following our announcement to our families, I endured a tough few weeks of that first trimester feeling. I think I had all of the symptoms in the book (look for my next post showcasing the incredible care package my sister sent me.) Now upon just reaching my 12 week mark, I feel as if I am seeing the light at the end of the sickness tunnel…at least I am hoping this is the case! We have had two more appointments since our first, and each time baby is has been growing right on track. Every time I see my little baby and hear it’s heartbeat, I get more and more ready for the day I will hold him/her in my arms. Speaking of him/her – we will be finding out our babies gender around Halloween so stay posted! Until then, Bryan requests everyone refer to it as a “he” because he says he only makes boys. 🙂

Our official due date is projected to be March 19. A little pisces fish baby. As you may already know from this previous fishy post‘s explanation, Bryan and I have had a common theme of fish that has been reoccurring since we first started dating. It is more than fitting that our baby will be born in the sign of the fish and for our first announcement to the public we made sure to carry out our fish theme:

Our Little Guppy

As my belly and excitement grows and as our due date approaches, I will continue to update this blog to document our journey. Thank you to all of our friends and family – whose love for our baby-to-be has blown both Bryan and I away. We are so truly grateful to have such an amazing support system in our lives.
