On Sunday, July 12, Bryan and I found out that we are going to be parents! After a few moments of sheer panic, the excitement and joy kicked in. Mommy and Daddy. It's one thing to have our little furbaby, Rooney – but a REAL human baby!? Oh boy, we are in for the time of our lives!
Capturing events through photography and videography has always been something that I have had love for. I can attribute that to my dad, who's passion for capturing all of our life moments growing up introduced me to the camera and video camera in the first place. It wasn't until I attended design school and started my first job that I was able to appreciate the true art of photography and learn to take the time to capture an image that I was proud of. I still have a long way to go in the photography world, but love to use family events and gatherings to practice enhancing my technique.

Back when we first bought our house I wrote a similar post called 6 Things I Learned about First Time House Buying. Now that we are coming up on our year and a half mark in our humble abode, I didn't want you all to think the learning stopped at buying – oh no, quite the contrary, we have learned even more tough lessons throughout our first year and a half of being first time homeowners.
